About TKA

The Knowledge Agency® (TKA) develops and employs advanced technologies and methodologies to identify and manage opportunities for, and threats to, enterprise competitiveness and value.  TKA's clients include leading companies in pharmaceuticals, consumer products, information and media, and financial and professional services, as well as government agencies.
 
TKA was founded in 1989 as Horizon Softworks and incorporated as InfoStrat Inc. in New York State in 1996. Our earliest assignments were in building database applications to track leads generation and conduct win-loss analysis for a global consulting firm.
 
Today TKA is a wholly-owned operating subsidiary of T.W. POWELL COMPANY, INC.  (TWPCo), a successor New York corporation.  In addition to TKA, other properties of TWPCo include:
  • a diversified intellectual property portfolio that now includes trademarks (both registered and unregistered), copyrights (both registered and unregistered), proprietary business research processes, and IP addresses;
  • a private-label business publishing imprint (Eyes and Ears); and
  • a media production studio.
TKA's main office is the home of one of the largest private business libraries in New York City.
